Freelance Job Description

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. Are you an experienced Singapore English writer who would like to lend your expertise to train AI models? 

About the opportunity:

1. Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models
2. This freelance opportunity is remote and hours are flexible, so you can work whenever is best for you

You may contribute your expertise by…

1. Reading English text in order to rank a series of responses that were produced by an AI model
2. Writing a short story in English about a given topic
3. Assessing whether a piece of English text produced by an AI model is factually accurate
4. Use your knowledge of English local slang and colloquial phrases to teach the AI model

Job Requirement
Examples of desirable expertise:

1. Must have been educated in Singapore for high school or earlier
2. Experience as a professional translator
3. Professional writing experience (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, etc.)
4. Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in Singapore in a humanities field or field related to writing
