We are looking for a trained and certified phlebotomist for the cohort studies of the SPHS unit (Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore). The right candidate should have good inter-personal skills with the ability to interact with people of various age groups and backgrounds, has a proactive attitude and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, is a good team player and able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the research participant correctly and verify participant's consent for the venepuncture. Screen for contraindications before performing venepuncture.
- Review and account for blood collection systems inventory.
- Measure BP and hand grip strength (training will be provided).
- Perform accurate data entry, maintain proper documentation and correct labelling of blood tubes and despatch samples to the lab timely.
- Perform any other administrative and research procedures as per study requirements.
Timing:
- Monday to Friday (0745h to 1345h), except Wednesday, Sunday and Public Holidays
- Designated Saturdays required - 2 Saturdays each month (0745h to 1400h)
